Lol. You win a fight winning rounds not by total punches landed. It wouldn't make sense if fighter A who lands 100 punches in a round and then land 5 punches every other round. Wins over fighter B lands 20 per round. Lara lost get over it

10 more punches landed yet over half of those 107 punches were jabs. Do they really warrant a decision win over 88 power shots? Here I thought power shots were worth more than jabs. Basically what we're looking at is 46 jabs of Lara vs 35 power shots of Canelo.

When you look at it round by round though Lara still outlanded him. But 10 out of 12 rounds Canelo landed twice as many or more power shots than Lara. Half of the rounds where Lara landed more were jabs and it was only 2 or 3 more.

Its close, but im still going to have to go with the guy who was landing more significant strikes. Canelo.

you completely missed the point. canelo says to win you need to hit more and not run. well...according to compubox lara outlanded him and was more accurate.

if lara ran all night then how did he manage to land more???

fights are scored on a round by round basis, just because the compustats have lara landing 10 more shots it doesnt mean he wins...its what you do in every round, remember that for next time.

You conveniently ignore the fact that Canelo's power shots are worth 2 or 3 of Laura's due to sheer power, a fact that was very apparent to anyone willing to take an honest look at the fight.

NSB so inconsistent, compubox means something then doesn't. Lara is running or putting on a pure boxing clinic....jabs count then don't count...body shots don't count and then count. Being the aggressor usually gives the nod.

It's all about aesthetics. Is it aesthetically pleasing to the eye or is it not?

In this case, it was not. Whatever Lara "landed" only the professional counters saw it. Because the casual viewer sure didn't see lara land more or throw more punches. Maybe if this was the amateur system and judging was computerized, he would've pulled it off.

and you're ignoring the fact that head shots count more than body shots. lara outlanded canelo 104-24 in head shots. a lot were jabs but a lot werent. i'll take lara's 45-50 power shots and 50 or so jabs to the head of canelo over 73 body shots. also, a lot of canelo's body shots were short shots from in close that dont do as much damage. canelo makes his punches look heavy and thudding but the fact is he hasnt ever really hurt any high level opponent with one punch except maybe when he got trout with that jab. meanwhile lara's getting full extension on his head shots.

now you call jabs headshots??? jabs are jabs period... if any laras face looked worse than canelos at the end of the fight... you just cant commit to punches while running...

How do you even produce any steam on your punches when you're never planting your feet? Lara's punches counted, but lets be real.. they weren't shots that had Canelo gunshy. Lara knew better than all of us if he stood in front of Canelo for more than a few seconds to try to string something together he was getting put on his ass. So he opted to survive. It's natural human behavior. Fight or flight.
