Algieri should just be thankful that he is getting a manny fight,,,,

In no way does he deserve a huge payday..

solid win over ruslan, but at this point chris is a one hit wonder.. few more top level wins then yeah he can demand more money, but now just be thankful manny fight is even on the table..

Pacquiao really has no other available options which is sad. It's basically between either Algieri, Abregu, or Provodnikov for November. I thought Guerrero was possible, but I guess since he's with Haymon it's not likely.

Wouldn't feel bad for him if they drop negotiations and move on.

milk them for all they worth, maybe he can wear some comission approved gloves that Pacquaio dont like in the hope that pacquaio will try to call off the fight but then realize too many people are involved so you just pay him 1.5 million to wear the gloves your want, the one with memory foam and all that.

Lol, he's got plenty of leverage.

TR pigeon holed themselves into this fight - offering three options, JMM - Algieri - Abregu

JMM ain't fighting, he's made it clear. Abregu has been out of the spotlight since the Dulorme fight and has never made a true impact in the sport. Algieri was just on HBO and beat Ruslan, so he has momentum.

****, why take 1.5 for a beating (presumably) in a market he has no chance of winning on the cards? After paying his 28% US taxes, 10% to the training team, 10% to management, overhead costs for living arrangements and training, his take home pay would be significantly less. Why not get more? Who else is there that'll be November ready that has any appeal? Algieri isn't a big name, but at least there's something...the tassles!

On a tiny level - I was offered a job this past Thursday in Tampa FL. They offered me 55K. I countered that to sustain my standard of living that I have in Pennsylvania, I need 65K. They countered on Friday afternoon for 62.5K

So now, I have to mull over a job offer I have now in Tampa FL and one I have for 69K in ******ia. I guess I'll let the wife decide - but man, if I am not going to sell myself short - why should a professional boxer who's getting their face beat in?

Real competition? Who? GGG? Khan? Garcialka?

Idiotic move. Just like Lara, this guy brings nothing to the table. He'll never see a payday like that again. He won the lottery but instead of being grateful he ripped up the ticket. Now he may get nothing.
