Canelo simply embarrassed lara, made him look like he wanted out of the ring, made him look scared. It was pathetic

And i wanted lara to win because Canelo is too white to be mexican
To me Your opinion lost all credibility with your last last sentence . Latinos and Mexicans come in all races. With that way of thinking I guess Marcos Maidana is to Asian to be Argentinian .

I have no dog in this fight. The fight was(at times) painful to watch. Lara made him missus but didn't make him pay, he was reluctant to engage, looking at the clock, looking like he didn't want to be there. Sometimes he was in full retreat, moving with no tactical purpose. It was painful to watch. This was Lara's first and last ppv main event.

Well if Canelo did nothing how did Lara get cut under his eye and his eye all swelled up? I think it was a BS fight anyways because Lara didn't even show up to fight. I think if Lara would have tried to make him pay for missing he would have ended up on the canvas. Lara didn't want to fight like he did with Angula as he almost lost that fight and that is why his ass ran all night.
And to point out something to you people that say he was making him miss, yes when you run its hard to hit but the thing Canelo did well is to keep throwing as he learned from the Mayweather fight that you cant try to just out box a defensive fighter like him, u have to chace and take chances.

Against Trout it was a very close fight yet Stanley Christoloudou had it 118-108(10 rounds to 2) for Canelo, Mayweather totally out boxed Canelo & CLEARLY won EVERY ROUND yet judge C.J. Ross had it 114-114(6 rounds a piece!) she retired after that(I guess to avoid an investigation) & this fight against Lara was also very close yet judge Levi Martinez had 117-111(9rounds to 3)for Canelo. It's like in fights of this magnitude someone is making sure that at least one judge REALLY FAVORS Canelo NO MATTER WHAT THE FIGHT IS LIKE! This is shady, very very SHADY.

I am totally disappointed because by running so much Lara looked like he was in survival mode most of the fight. I lost $300.00 believing that Lara was going to do what he kept repeating (now we know that the Cuban or his pupeteer only has a big mouth). I was thinking during this fight that if I was a judge I would be thinking that Canelo's body punches were so effective making Lara to backpedal scared of receiving more. There is a lot o subjective judging in boxing and the worst thing a boxer can do is to give the impression of being afraid or in survival mode and it is a matter of perception for judges to believe it. Lara ended up paying for his big inactivity offensively speaking and his exaggerated way of running to stay away from Canelo's punches. I guess Lara could continue being jealous and envious of what Alvarez do while still thinking that his amateur pedigree and amateur style is enough to win big fights.

So much for the people claiming Lara is gonna do the same thing Floyd did to Canelo but worst. He didn't even come close, let's face it, Lara ran for most of the fight and sure, if I have lightning fast reflexes and I'm thinking all defense i will make anyone miss like crazy but whats the point if im not making him pay...Floyd gets into closer fighters with these guys sometimes bcuz he doesnt make u miss he also stays in the pocket to punish u for it. If Lara tried that he would have had more success hurting Canelo cuz of his size and strength but on the flip side he doesnt have the skill and experience of Floyd and could have gotten himself knocked out.

I think this fight can only be a positive tho, Lara showed he's too skilled to be outmuscled and beat down by Canelo but Canelo also showed he's not just a one dimensional flat footed pressure fighter, he needed a lot of experience and intelligence to put in the work he did agaisnt a genius like Lara when his whole focus was moving and pot shotting. Both guys showed great skill and IQ and I think the right guy still won, but it was definitely a close fight
