      Engage opponent... disappointment Lara. Fight was there for his to take.
      Canelo is overrated beyond belief. Each equally disappointing.

      Canelo not even worthy of discussion one of Mexico's ATG. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!

          not surprised by the outcome and even less surprised by the reaction on NSB.
          Haven't seen the fight, but I'm sure it was close with Canelo winning because Lara didn't do enough.
          That's Lara's style and why I thought Canelo could win if he just threw enough.
          Cong**** Canelo

            Levi Martinez says;
            Oscar what score should i put in the card for Canelo.
            OSCAR says;
            Levi don't get ahead of yourself the fight is 2 months away.
            But just in case fill it out now in case you forget.
            9 rounds to 3 sounds fair Oscar?
            Oscar;
            Yeah Levi that's cool and the check is in the mail.

              I personally believe it should have been a draw. People talk about Lara "running" and all that crap, what do you expect him to do? Stand there and keep taking body shots? That's not a smart move if you know boxing. It's about hitting and not getting hit. He didn't land much? So both of Canelo's eyes were swelling up on their own? Give me a break!

              Both boxers did what they need to do and that's what made it interesting; it was a truly even match. How can anybody NOT be impressed by that? I'm glad to see a match like that and not like that one-sided Cotto-Martinez match. There definitely should be a rematch...and this time, with better judging.

                I've always said that I think both of these guys are two of the most overrated in boxing.

                This is exactly what I imagined will happen from this fight. Just a very sloppy, uneventful fight

                Canelo is such a limited, basic fighter. He does nothing exceptionally well, he's just average in all aspects and his lack of speed and creativity showed in this fight. Maybe my stream ****** but that 117-111 card was ridiculous. Canelo was punching air most of the night. Unless my stream ******. He did work the body nice. But that's about it IMO.

                As for Lara... What can you say. Dude had his chance just like in the vanes fight and simply wasn't active enough. He started off well but he just doesn't throw enough punches. I won' say he was running, but towards the end it was sort of mindless movement. He slipped punches but didn't throw enough and his lack of activity is what gave Canelo rounds.

                All in all both guys should stay as far away from 160 as possible. Lol @ People thinking Lara or Canelo could beat Golovkin. I don't think either of guys could even beat Daniel Geale or Martin Murray. Yet alone the soon-to-be 160lb king

                  Ok fair enough! I had it 8-4 Lara
                  I felt Canelo really didn't hit Lara with anything effective other than the one uppercut he landed. The body shots were mostly arms shots with no leverage to Lara's arm. Canelo had the right game plan but didn't execute it well. If the body shots had landed right then Lara would've slowed down and that never happened. Just my 2 cents since we are on a boxing forum lol

                      I scored 115-113 for Alvarez after he brought the fight being the aggressor and having done all the body punching. I was really expecting Lara to throw more punches and to impress so there wouldn't be any doubts of his "superiority" but the truth is Lara disappointed me by throwing one punch and running a whole circle on the ring backpedaling and only once in a while throwing a combination. Rather than standing on his ground, Lara preferred leave in the minds of the judges that he was in such defensive mode because Alvarez body punches were effective. Lara talked too much garbage and kept saying this was the most important fight of his life, however, he blew it by doing too much running (and I don't think any TV network would like his style at all).
