What makes the fight somewhat intriguing is that Lara, as good a boxer as he appears to be, is definitely not Mayweather. He makes enough mistakes to be vulnerable.

Of course, the intrigue in this fight is completely offset by the fact that Canelo is a junior middleweight fighting as a light heavyweight or even cruiserweight. Once he starts fighting in an appropriate weight class (middleweight at a minimum) Canelo's fights are not going to be that interesting at all.

Canelo is a stocky, poorly conditioned fighter who won't have the strength, length or punch output to blunt quality middleweight opposition. In fact, I might even be so bold as to suggest that a middleweight like Golovkin could effectively end Canelo's career as a perceived top fighter. Mayweather, a much smaller man, merely embarrassed Canelo. I don't think fighters like Golovkin will be so kind.
Lol at the pretty quick to gas line. He does seem to have stamina issues. Hopefully, they continue tonight.

I think Canelo's stamina issues are primarily due to his body composition (stocky frame, etc.). Nothing will change that meaningfully although I wouldn't be surprised to see his stamina improve modestly if he moves up and doesn't have to drop so many pounds to make ~154.

At 160 though, any stamina gains from not having to cut so much weight will be offset by the fact that he's fighting guys who are taller, stronger and better conditioned. Canelo is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

But you have to give a lot of credit to his team for getting him this far with superb matchmaking. The Mayweather fight was a huge embarrassment, but a lot of fans just don't want to see Canelo for what he is: a good fighter who looks great when matched up against the right opponents in the wrong weight class.

One guy out of his whole ****ing career. I've always said aside from Molina, all the other guys have been bigger.

          Williams
          Angulo
          Trout
          Canelo

The extra weight will make it harder for Canelo to pick himself up from the canvas

people talking like Lara some midget, he is a big guy at the weight, good height, braod and very muscular, far more than Canelo.
