Once again, I think their intentions was to expose their corrupted ass. They tell one guy one thing and the other doesn't follow it.

i got your point from laras side, but from angulos side if they wanted to affect lara it was actually pretty dumb from their side not knowing the other guy usually rehydrates at that very same weight...
at the end it didnt affect either fighter or the outcome of the fight if it ever existed...

Actually, Lara would have benefited from the extra weight. It was clearly evident who was the bigger and stronger man in the ring that night. Lara could have rehydrated to 300lbs, and still would have been faster than Angulo lol. So it never made sense to me why would he purposefully come in so light against a slow guy, whose specialty lies in physically imposing himself on his opponent.

to be honest im not really familiar on how heavy lara goes in the ring normally...
but i dont think lara was going to be able to impose to angulo being heavier...
the same goes for the canelo fight, his best chances rely on his speed and legs..
and canelo needs to impose his size and power like he did to angulo..

I was more referring to Lara's inability to gain Angulo's respect and tie him up more effectively.

Now, coming in lighter against Canelo makes more sense because Canelo is actually pretty quick.

Yeah, pretty quick to gas. If Lara boxes smart and doesn't let Canelo hit him with big shots in the first half of the fight, this bout will probably resemble Mayweather-Canelo although I wouldn't expect Lara to be that dominant.

What makes the fight somewhat intriguing is that Lara, as good a boxer as he appears to be, is definitely not Mayweather. He makes enough mistakes to be vulnerable.

Of course, the intrigue in this fight is completely offset by the fact that Canelo is a junior middleweight fighting as a light heavyweight or even cruiserweight. Once he starts fighting in an appropriate weight class (middleweight at a minimum) Canelo's fights are not going to be that interesting at all.

Canelo is a stocky, poorly conditioned fighter who won't have the strength, length or punch output to blunt quality middleweight opposition. In fact, I might even be so bold as to suggest that a middleweight like Golovkin could effectively end Canelo's career as a perceived top fighter. Mayweather, a much smaller man, merely embarrassed Canelo. I don't think fighters like Golovkin will be so kind.

This will be a great fight especially if Lara decides to stand in the pocket and fight.

Lara makes a good point...the Cuban style is really well suited to the amateur Olympic and international style of boxing. So, between Canelo vs Lara, it will all depend on how the fight is judged, and the trend in the Pros seems to be favoring the amateur style of defense and running/quantity vs power punches. It's the state of boxing today that brings us to this. I think Canelo will have to KO or drop Lara a couple of times in order to win.
