I wonder if Salido would've done what he did if it wasn't for Mtagwa.
Totally agree, and anyone who watched Lopez's fights before the Salido losses would know this. Even in the Lontchi fight he looked frustrated and fresh out of ideas when he couldn't put him away like nearly everyone before that fight.

Mtagwa took his soul, after which Concepcion and Marquez dissected him even more - even though they all lost in the end. That's not to say Lopez was shot or anything when he came into the first Salido fight, but his vulnerabilities had certainly been exposed. Salido was the perfect guy to crash the party.

Yeah, Salido was the wrong guy at the wrong time for JuanMa. But I guess Siri really couldn't be avoided. Gamboa had beaten him and Lopez had to show he could handle him as well. Back then, these guys were fighting each other's past opponents. A showdown with Yuri was still in the cards. Orlando obliterated that idea.

Great even though i really dont give a f who Gamboa is fighting as long as he is fighting and not let us wait another 400 something days, great fight on paper some years ago but now it should be easy work for Gambo, even though we not know how he will come back after losing the first time including 5 or 6 KDs...

          Gamboa stops him inside 4.

This would have been one-sided 3 years ago, it will be a stroll now.
