I was a very good prospect, sure I had lost to Paul Bowen five years in a row as an amateur but I was fighting at 165 back then when my natural weight was closer to 147! Bowen was not a bad fighter at all. I switched to southpaw as a pro and was undefeated before spending over two years in prison (similar to German boxer Jurgen Brahmer) and lost my sharpness when I came out. I sparred with Carl BEFORE I spend some time inside, this was 1998, and the guy was real ****ing good. He was the ****.

You may call Calzaghe's record padded. But it's still significantly more impressive than that of Lacy (of for that matter my own fave - Kessler).
