I'm a collazo fan but let's be honest this wasn't the same collazo that should have gotten the victory over Ricky Hatton in 2006. Yes he had beat Victor ortiz version 4.0 after being stopped by maidana floyd and JOSESITO LOPEZ. Collazo was like 3 or so fights removed from losing to Freddy Hernandez the same hernandez who Berto killed in one round. Yes Collazo is a decent win but at this point of his career a broner win> collazo.

When was the last time Khan beat a top ten p4p ranked opponent?

Floyd chose Maidana because he was the easier option. That didn't work out. Khan would be a tougher challenge, but he whines like a b*tch too much.
If he beats someone well regarded (not great, but a better than Crapazo win) like Thurman/Ghost, then he is probably next in line after Porter/Lara (who Floyd would avoid like the plague).

how is maidana getting a rematch? how is pac fighting nobody algieri? maidana beat hype job broner a long time ago, and algieri has one mediocre win against mediocre provodnikov.
beating collazo >>>>>>>> beating broner and provodnikov
khan is the MOST AVOIDED fighter of this era imo. bradley ducked him, floyd ducked him, pacquiao ducked him, and marquez ducked him. and porter fighting brook hahahaha. khan is far better than brook. thurman ducking khan too.
khan has ATG potential but people refuse to give hm the opportunities to show it and it's completely disgusting.

there's absolutely No freaking comparison Khan's win over Kotelnik alone beats anyone on Maidana's resume if Maidana can get a crack at Mayweather but beating someone like Broner so should Khan.

Khan is being handled with kid gloves right now Im assuming from his team to get a big pay day through the path of least resistance . I'm not a Khan fan but he has heart and I think he'd be more then willing to fight anyone 140-147 he doesn't lack confidence.
The way I see it Khan For Khan to get the elusive $ fight with Mayweather he has to beat a credible WW ( Thurman, Porter,Alexander, Guererro ) and I don't think he'd beat any of the names in the top 10.
Khans teams probably praying that Brook pulls off the upset against Porter so he could fight him because he seems the least threat and piggyback that win to the big fight.

He lost to Peterson and has not defeated any top 10 guys since then. So it was 6 fights ago he beat a top 10 fighter and he has never defeated a top ten welterweight. Collazo is rated about 28th by boxrec and unranked by everyone else. Khan needs to beat a Porter or a Thurman before he demands fights with Mayweather or Pacquiao but the problem is those guys would KO Khan.

To me though, Khan is still on the comeback trail. A decent win over Collazo, granted, but Ortiz was DONE... porter and Maidana present a problem of pressure that I believe would crack and shatter V. Hunter's careful version of Khan, and bring our the same flawed boxer from before. Thurman would present a power problem for Khan ala garcia.
