Oscar understand business better than floyd sometimes you have to put ego aside.
That doesn't make sense. They are working together. One is smarter than the other but they're doing the same thing?

Whereas other unintelligent ****** thugs will publicly bash another fellow athlete and fellow "businessman" (I don't consider the duck a businessman, he's to ****** to be one, more like a man with natural boxing talent at the right place and the right time, with the right people around him) only to come back like a dog between his tail
Oh god. Here we go with the bull*****. What part of De La Hoya's business model did Mayweather emulate? You can't just throw some pronouncement out there like that without any explanation. And please name one fighter that Mayweather "ducked".

Trying to "school" a much younger boxer who can both punch and move is going to be extremely difficult for Floyd in his current form.

I think this rematch has a lot of build up just b/c of how competitive their first fight was. Maidana/ Mayweather did 800,000 buys? So Im assuming they can do better
The only fighters that have a chance of beating Floyd imo are Lara, Thurman and Porter. Thurman is a legit threat.. Probably even the most legit of the three. The fight could generate a Million buys if Showtime promotes Keith Thurman as the risk to Floyd that every real boxing fan knows he is.

You should also assume it (Mayweather/Maidana II) could do worse. Many fans including myself believe a rematch is not necessary and believe it or not "casual fans" are not as dumb as you think.. Most of the casuals I know won't pay for this rematch.

Already a Money fan, now I'm in AWE..good for him...makes me sick to think of all the boxers risking their health and future just to put $$$ in everyone else's pocket....no matter what you think about him, you should be impressed by his business sense!!!

              • Breaking away from Arum
              • Fighting on Mexican holidays
              • Launching a promotional company (although a horrible failure for the duck)

B-Hop says ODLH was coming to meetings once or twice a year. ODLH is reaching out to Arum, and that's a nice gesture, but I don't see Arum reciprocating. Would you consider Don King and Bob Arum thugs?
You're right, he's doing something better than what the duck attempted to do, which is to own a successful promotional company.

I consider Don King a thug but not Arum.
