He can't beat Thurman and team Khan knows it. He could have had the Mayweather fight last May if he had gone through with the Alexander fight and won. He would have been challenging Mayweather as a world welterweight champion and would have earned the fight. Team Khan had no faith in him then either so they chickened out of the Alexander fight in hopes that Mayweather would still fight Khan even though Khan had never defeated a welterweight
