well, for starters he could land one of those hooks to the liver and leave AB crying in pain on the canvas in round 1. Broner has good resistance so he may last a bit more but being there to be hit is not a good idea against the machine. Chino may be stronger than lucas on some aspects, but lucas is more accurate which against a poor defense could make for a short night.

if lucas hurts broner like chino did in the second he won't let him off the hook, he will finish him, lucas is patient and cold, he won't rush broner like maidana did, he will find another big bomb and put him out permanently

Broner is a shit counterpuncher. Despite Broner having much faster hands I actually think Matthysse is a better counterpuncher than him.

Danny's countering ability made Matthysse very tentative, but against Broner he'd quickly recognise that Broner can't time counters like Garcia can, and if you throw combinations against him his offence stops.

To a certain extent that's true of Matthysse too, but Broner would be too available for Lucas for Lucas' output to plummet like Broner would need it to.

I don't think it's anything like a certainty for Matthysse, but if my life was on the line he's the one I would be picking.

I don't know why people keep saying this. Broner is not a counter puncher. He waits and strikes when his opponent stops throwing. When he's on the ropes, he freezes... Even Berto, and others, could land bombs while on the ropes. Not Broner. He wants distance.

He's a decent power puncher, it's one of the few things he ca do well, but he isn't intelligent enough to know when to throw them, and some fighters won't respect his power, add in all of his flaws, and he's a mess.
