Comments Thread For: George Groves To Train in Big Bear For Rebrasse Bout

GEORGE GROVES is going camping in the woods to ensure he is ready to cut down Christopher Rebrasse and land another world title shot.

The London super-middleweight takes on the French European champion on September 20 at Wembley Arena as he looks to bounce back from his KO loss to Carl Froch.

The winner has been promised a shot at Sakio Bika or Anthony Dirrell, who square off for the WBC title next month.

And Groves, who was knocked out in emphatic fashion by Brit rival Froch in May, knows this fight is make-or-break for him.

problem with groves is a no chin, b too small for super middle, c he loads up too much and he'd get countered if he cant run away all fight, golovkin he isnt.

This is weird. I thought DeGale was promised a bout with Sakio Bike a while ago. since when did Groves come top of the list in front of DeGale? I am a fan of both DeGale and Groves (more Groves) but it does seem like DeGale is getting ignored and whereas it was probably right before in the Super Middleweight division, arguably it isn't now. Groves isn't ranked with the WBC is he?

lol too small. He's huge for a SMW. The guy goes up to 200 pounds sometimes. He's a good fighter Groves, I see no sense behind your post.

Any man can get knocked out by a great fighter like Froch, and it happened to him. So what, he moves on - has a final eliminator and fights for the title again.

DeGale was on course to fight Bika, he then jumped ship from Mick Hennessy to Matchroom, where he is now in position to challenge for Froch's IBF.

DeGale was mugged off by the WBC who suddenly made Chavez Jr their #1 contender, despite him doing sod all at SMW.

David Haye said it in an interview leading up to Froch 2.
