Tough fight for both guys and McWilliams has the goods but Amnat is no Saludar by any means. Now, in Japan he beat Ioka 119 - 108 on one scorecard… 119 - 108! That fight was freaking close! SMH.. what more when he fights at home having already the home court advantage? Amnat can box and move so it won't be easy at all.

Promoters lose purse bids all the time. Why are you acting so shocked?

Can't blame him tbh. 200k is a lot of money for a 112 pound fight.

Huge bid from the Thai promoter but when you consider how Thai fights are backed it's not a huge shock in fairness. The King or someone will likely have pumped money into the bout.

All great points. After all why invest 200k in a fighter when it won't multiply much in the future?

Hah, you forgetting how long it took JMM to really get back in the spotlight and get good fights after that chris John loss.

that was considered one of the worst business decisions in boxing for a very long time. At the time it definitely ruined his career.

Given the political turmoil wouldn't be surprised someone wanted this fight to stay in Thai.
