Having won the bid Jimmy now has 90 days to organise and stage the fight which we'd expect would now be in Thailand giving Amnat the home advantage that he lacked in his first defence, a decision victory over the previously unbeaten Kazuto Ioka earlier this year.

Arroyo, who secured his position as the mandatory challenger earlier this year with a stoppage against Froilan Saludar, will know that he's up against it here if the fight is in Thailand. In fact in our eyes Thailand is the hardest country on the planet to get a win in, not due to the judging but the harsh conditions that the bouts are fought in, which include humid air, extreme heat and blistering sunshine which all combine to make life incredibly nasty for visiting fighters.

We're expecting more details on when and exactly where this fight will take place, but with the first battle won we really need to favour the talented Thai fighter here.
Now his fighter has to fight in one of the most difficult territories to win in against a fairly skilled boxer.

Well you think about it, now the other person has to do all the work and his fighter get his what 60% for fighting in a foreign environment.

It's likely that he didn't care too much about that fight in general.

But yeah, Oscar has dug himself into a deep deep hole. He should have let Schaefer and Haymon buy out Golden Boy from him. He was too busy snorting coke and cheating with hookers to know any of the business related things.

JMM lost to Chris John, didn't seem to mess up his career. It's one fight, big deal.

His fighter gets a pay day.... guess that's all he wants.

This is the same place where Jaro was only given the rounds he knocked down the champ in even though he was dominating him.

Hey... if he doesn't care about winning a belt, I guess he came to teh right place

I'm not saying that's what he should be thinking, but in the overall picture, this really isn't all that bad. Besides he could also win the title over there which is only good, not everything has to have a negative outlook.

You do understand he fired everyone pretty much and he has to replace those people. Oscar is the Boss he never was hands on with anything.

People act like Oscar is the one making the things happen he hires people to do that, he delegates.

Promoters don't actually bid as much money as they possibly can, dude. They bid as much money as they think the fight is worth.
