I don't know where this myth tjay ufc is doing better then boxing comes from. Those guys fight for peanuts and that's why you will never see many elite athletes in the UFC. Those guys are all truck drivers/waste management workers/landscapers. Ufc fighters are D class athletes except maybe Jon jones and 10 others. And when has a UFC event ever sold out a soccer stadium?

I mean this is a "top 10" ufc fighter.
No thanks. Boxings never going to become the UFC. Sorry. Not only is boxing more lucrative. I bet if you calculate overseas fans, even in 2014, boxing is more popular then UFCLast edited by King_; 07-08-2014, 11:47 AM.Comment

Serious question: where does the money go in UFC? They do PPV at the same prices as boxing, sell out arenas all over the world, but the fighters apparently don't see boxing-type paydays.
Is it just that money is more evenly distributed and there are more fighters making good money and less making Mayweather money?Comment

And as a result the top boxers now have the luxury to fight whom they please when they please due to making extremely high paydays. While good for them, how does it benefit the sport as a whole or us fans?Serious question: where does the money go in UFC? first of all, the UFC is dying.
Second, even being a single promotion, they couldn't make the best super-fights like they said - St Pierre vs. Silva, Silva vs. Jones, Jones vs. Velasquez. etc, etc.Comment

Boxing doesn't need a system like the UFC, even though I agree from a fans perspective it would be better.
Wouldn't be better from the fighters point of view, because they wouldn't make as much money.
What boxing needs is not a promotional monopoly, but someone in govt to step in and make sure to regulate the corruption in boxing.
Like a boxing Czar. An outside force to regulate these corrupt ass.holes.

Government to regulate corruption. Anyone see the irony here?

Lol at those guys fight for peanuts?... Newsflash, so do most in boxing, you live in a dream land where you believe every boxer is living in some beach house in Malibu and driving Ferraris, I'm willing to bet there's more fighters in boxing doing side jobs than in the UFC... And also how many network dates does boxing have compared to ufc??... Bringing up soccer stadiums when the guy in your avi is still fighting in bingo halls.. Lol you have no valid counter argumentI don't know where this myth tjay ufc is doing better then boxing comes from.
