The Pac/Clottey reference is a horrible analogy... Manny comes to fight. Someone also mentioned the Donaire fight, which the guy said was entertaining to him... for four rounds. The point is Donaire and Manny both come to fight, but we aren't talking about them it's the other guy. Manny can have a boring fight every now and then, but not every fight. Manny has been in how many fight of the years? And Donaire has at least 1 or 2 KO's of the year they are very entertaining guys to watch. Every Rigo fight is just tough to watch and I watched the entire Donaire and Agbeko fights to the end.

I'm a massive boxing fan, I re-watch fights, anyone coming on this site I'm sure does the same thing. But I've never re-watched a Rigo fight, and I don't ever find myself looking forward to when he fights (except when he fought Donaire.) Maybe it's simply because he hasn't been challenged but then his refusal to move up in weight doesn't exactly help his cause either.

Some of it is Arum's fault though. Sometimes it seems like Rigo is set up to fail. For instance, Rigo fought on HBO on 12/7 on an absolutely horrible card in Atlantic City (Kirkland/Tapia turned out to be a very good fight). Meanwhile, there is a stacked card the same day on Showtime. The cards were also close in proximity which definitely effected the ticket sales.

It's an easy decision between the two cards.

Now this is a valid point he got put on badly timed cards, but maybe that was the point too. If he was going up against Showtime his job is to draw more viewers than the other guys, the fighter does need to see that as well. HBO is paying you all this money but it's to fill seats and put eyeballs on televisions. Still... Arum certainly didn't do him any favors because I was all over that Showtime card and watched the HBO fights on DVR.

Fine, but that makes my point even more valid. Donaire is always in entertaining fights and go figure it was the only watchable one Rigo has been in. Again I watch all the fights I'm talking from a casuals view... it really is no different than any product you sell, take video games for example. I got my PS4 the week after E3 I pre-ordered that **** but I would have bought one regardless Sony didn't need to sway me. But the commercials, tweets and all the marketing its for the much bigger audience of people who wait a year or two to buy a new system and only play Madden or Call of Duty. Those people need the mass marketing to buy a new IP like The Last of Us or Destiny whatever it may be.

Boxing is no different, I don't need to be sold on Rigo if they had him on this saturday I would watch it. Arum didn't give him a fair deal but I'm sure he knew going in he knew there wasn't any money to be made. Rigo has flat out said he won't move up in weight and he won't change his style... If he isn't going try to HELP Arum in some way why should Arum? I don't care about either guys money problems or how much they have but you can't have an attitude like Rigo has, with a guy as stubborn as Arum is and get good results. Also by change his style no one is saying he needs to come out and be Margarito with all offense no defense, but there is nothing with asking a guy to take a little more risk when going professional this is also a business it's just reality.

Rigo has been in 13 fights, and won eight by KO. Even if you've never seen anything other than the Donaire fight, it wouldn't seem likely that your statement could be true. The only truly unwatchable fights I've seen Guille in were Cordoba and Agbeko. Everything else has not been trying to watch at all. Anything that might've even threatened to be ended in an early KO.

I was in attendance at Rigo-Donaire, and I re-watched the fight twice after that. It was excellent. It clearly wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but no one can tell me it wasn't excellent boxing.

You have to be a leech very far up Pacquiao's butthole to think that fight was entertaining literally nothing that boring has been broadcaster on that big screen at dallas ever since. It was so boring Lampley had his ATG brainfart trying to make a boring fight entertaining "**** **** ****!" . Everyone watching was wondering wtf he was talking about even Pacquiaos mom in the Philippines probably fell asleep half way through her witchcraft incantations
