Fighting Karmazin makes more sense to Quartey because there would be a belt on the line. We have to remember that he older & being able to possibly fight/win a belt would give him leverage at the bargaining table against a big name fighter like Vargas, De La Hoya, or Mosely.

Two of those big name fighters are just that big name fighters. A fight against Vargas or Mosley means nothing anymore. Delahoya could be in the same category soon.

I wouldn't mind Quartey fighting Karmazin because it doesn't look like Karmazin wants to give Ouma a rematch but Quartey isn't looking to fight Ouma at all. His plans are to try and fight Karmazin and then Forrest. Ouma isn't on his radar at all.
