The first pair of gloves team Maidana intended to use in the Mayweather fight were DECLINED by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. They seemingly had the majority of the padding ripped out. This is grounds for an investigation in my opinion, but was one ever conducted? Serious consequences could have been met if team Maidana did intend to use gloves with no padding in them. Have they done something like this before?

No announcement yet.
Was there ever an investigation on Maidana's first glove pair with no padding?

I've always viewed the NSAC as the strictest and most consistent agency in regards to other athletic commissions but if there was no investigation done on the gloves that were declined by them, that's cause for concern. Hopefully they at least confiscated the gloves for inspection.

There was nothing wrong with the pair of gloves besides being out of the packaging and touched by multiple people...A clone pair was aproved but TRC refused to step into that ring unless his opponent was wearing pillows..
