I don't see Lara as an avoided fighter like others do. He's fought Williams, Vanes, Molina, Trout, Angulo and is set to face Canelo in only 23 fights. If he pulls off a win over Alvarez he'll be the man at 154 and will be coming off a victory over a big name and boxing cash cow. His stock will immediately rise and there will be plenty of people lining up to challenge him. Cotto would get into the ring with him, the dude got into ring with even lesser known fighters like Trout and Clottey. Also, if Lara publicly campaigns for a Mayweather fight and trash talks like he did to get a Canelo fight I'm sure there will be a big demand for them to fight. He'll have to equal Floyd's performance or even better, outdo it.
