why is my evaluation of the article termed defensive? because I raised an issue with it?

To make Haymon's busness venture some kind of nefarious plot to overthrow boxing is a little much for me.

Are you blind, there's a timeline of haymons actions in this right in the ****ing article. It's pretty clear that's what he's doing, is trying to take it over.

It's saying he's so smart, he might just be good enough to do whatever he wants, which is scary to everyone in the sport who will be left out.

Al Haymon is smart. Scary smart one person who has dealt with him over the years calls him. He is also adept at telling people what they want to hear, a good listener, and very much into control.

I didn't take the above to mean what you did. Given the whole paragraph above, I don't see how you got that but we can agree to disagree.

With all due respect there are very few times where writers use or reference "scary" to describe something positively.

Again, with all due respect, I don't see how you could read this articla and say Hauser is saying Haymon is good at his job. You as the reader may have deduced this, but Haquser doesn't say it.
