Canelo said he wanted this fight on All Access so I doubt that is the case. Oscar seems like the only one that did not want for this fight to happen and is stressing over it.

This fight SHOULD BE HAPPENING, WHY NOT? Two of the very best at 154 going head to head...WHY NOT!

If Canelo loses, he'll still be a bigger star than every one of Haymon's fighters except for Mayweather

Goodness, I don't think a loss for Canelo would sink him.

Canelo has a bright future win, lose, or draw against Lara.

Considering the TR/Golden Boy reunion, the landscape is rich with possibilities. Not to mention a possible rematch down the line.

The part about this fight being Schaefer's last fight is really interesting and needs to be corroborated.

I can't wait for Schaefer to write a tell-all book.

De La Hoya took on several tough fights that he could have avoided. He won some, he lost some. Despite the losses, he was still the #1 ppv draw, is still a hall of famer and accumulated more wealth than 99.99% of boxers in history.

This mentality that a loss kills a fighters career is what is killing boxing. No other sport is like this.

Beating the guy doesn't make you the guy and losing doesn't take that away from you.... when will people learn.
Canelo will be big regardless of what happens next week.

Does Lara/Haymon/Schaeffer think they can get big off a win? Nope..... not even Schaeffer thinks Lara is marketable and finds him hard to promote...

I agree. Canelo should not have taken this fight because it is a tough fight and he might lose.

I understand what Zabala is saying here. Its not about not maing the real important fights, its about saving or in this case killing the company.
This was Schafer last try o screw Oscar, I mean he took his fighters, some money and with making Canelo vs Lara, there is no sure thing that lara wins, but if he does, it will be panic time in GBP's.

Absolutely agree. Win, loose, or draw Canelo will still be popular and Lara will still be unpopular. Rigo beat Donaire decisively and got froze out at HBO.
