    Movement, angles, distance and timing

Seem to be so underrated on here and even at times called running and boring. These traits can be the different in not getting ko'd and scoring a ko. I know most do not understand this at all and will just enter the thread posting rubbish because they can not comment on the topic. But anyone who is diehard or an experienced fighter knows a master of these traits is almost impossible to beat and even harder to even look good against without getting frustrated.

You know it's a sad thing when traditional boxing abilities are construed as running in the sport of boxing. Don't get me wrong, I like a KO as much as the next guy but nothing gets me hyped up like a chess match of highly skilled technicians. That is truly a thing to behold, pure skill at the highest level...any two subpar guys can produce a devastating war of attrition and KO, but only a select few can give you the prior arrangement.

In baseball there's a saying "chicks dig the long ball" Meaning they wanna see big home runs. In boxing ppl wanna see knockouts. If u can do all the stuff u mentioned and still get the ko, u good. But if u just do that, all the time and win decisions, it gets boring sometimes.

Go stare at Olympic Track Runners, you'll find all of those qualities there as well.

Tony Gwynn was a monster hitter winning batting titles with ease. Batted in the .370 range and up at times. That's tremendous but it's not as exciting as Griffey hitting 50 home runs. It's kinda similar to the way a slick boxer is compared to a slugger. For me it is atleast.

Look at the one with the least value, and "attracts" the smallest fan base.

no offense meant, but i think this is but about "running" tackled on another thread...

anyway, movement, angles, distance and timing could be like a dance number that some could highly appreciate.... and some can only watch with disdain...

at least, people still go to watch...

now, if a fighter dance like ali, count me in....

otherwise, i'll just get my blanket and pillows...
