If boxers fought in MMA rules, who would come out on top?

Who would the champions be if all the active boxers fought each other under MMA regulation instead of the Marquess of Queensberry rules?

Basically, which boxer(s) is the best street fighter? The best all-around fighter(s).

Who would benefit most from those tiny gloves?

Would they just stand up and mainly punch, despite a cage, barefoot, and tiny gloves?

If Basketball players were playing soccer, who would win? Two answers: 1) Who cares? It isn't relevant. 2) The obvious answers is the guys with the most experience in the other sports.
For boxing, that means guy with grappling backrounds would win more often. Kermit Cintron and Mike Alvarado would own.

Kermit Cintron and Mike Alvardo were stud wrestlers before getting into boxing. They would beat most boxers around their size in MMA fights, and probably all of the top level guys.
Street fighting is different. Sometimes you can grapple, sometimes you can't. I wouldn't want to go bare knuckle with Maidana or Mattysshe. Or Carl Froch. Those guys strike me as types who would translate to the street very well. That said, but pro fighters from either sport will be exponentially better at street fighting than people who aren't pro fighters.

Shawn Porter is strong at grabbing muthaphvckas. He would choke slam guys.

A young BHop would have succeeded at any combat sport, for sure. The man is a gem. And I would absolutely not want to **** with him in a street altercation. Especially in his prime.
