Gio Gonzalez, a star pitcher for the Washington Nationals, and his father, were also listed as "customers" of the Biogenesis clinic. Major League Baseball, with their stated anti-doping agenda and their virtually unlimited resources, investigated Gonzalez. Guess what? They cleared Gio.

Now, that doesn't mean Gamboa is necessarily innocent, of course. What it does mean is that, just because someone's name appeared in the clinic's records, doesn't mean they're guilty of using PEDs.

Flawed logic. Why would anyone suspect Crawford is juicing, just because he wasn't tested? How was that Terrence's fault?

i thought Gio Gonzalez was cleared based on the fact that he didn't fail any test around that time? (what does that have to do with his name being tied to A ped supplier) the ped supplier and his name still remains.

please enlightened me if I'm missing something though because I didn't think they actually cleared anyone of wrong doing. it was more of a "lack of evidence. lack of any failed test" kinda thing.

          but please enlightened me............

In the Bosch notes, Gio Gonzalez was only linked to buying zinc, MIC (Methionine, Inositol, Choline), and Aminorip. None of those are banned substances. That's why he was cleared. On the other hand, Gamboa bought human growth hormone, IGF-1, and testosterone. All of those are banned substances. It wasn't simply the case of Gamboa's name being in some random list and nothing else. The notes specifically said Gamboa was getting these things.

if they were both not tested then that's not on any of the fighters.

i also don't get this "cover up" theory...they could've easily conducted the test and still can cover up positive results if that's their purpose.

See below. I don't know if Doktor Sleepless's information is accurate or not, but my original point stands: Gio was cleared. Whatever the reasons were make little difference. Gonzalez's name appeared in the Biogenesis records and he was not on PEDs. MLB would've hammered him if they even thought he was. A bunch of other big-name players took a hit.
