Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBC/WBA champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs), says his son should have already captured the IBF championship, currently held by Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16KOs), on at least two occasions.

Golden Boy Promotions has put together a doubleheader for August 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Garcia and Peterson are defending their titles in separate fights and they may face each other if both retain their respective belts.

Peterson will be facing Edgar Santana, and Garcia appears in the main event against Rod Salka.
