Yep. Probably not going to happen.

Cotto was not allowed to spar with GGG the one time they could have sparred. Roach didn't want to risk an injury.

Freddie won't even let Cotto spar Pac. No way he lets Cotto in with GGG.

Don't be too sure. I can see Floyd fighting Cotto at the same weights Cotto asked for against Martinez...159. That way the Jr. MW and MW belts would be on the line. I also have a feeling (and heard rumors) that this fight is going to take place in NYC @ Barclay's in Brooklyn. That would be HUGE!!!

I thought I read a report that Cotto and Golovkin were supposed to spar but it never actually happened.

While Cotto is a bit too ballsy sometime with his matchmaking, I don't think they're ****** enough to take on Golovkin.

Cotto will never defend the 160 lb title unless its Mayweather. Most middleweight contenders or champions are too big for Cotto. He only fought Sergio to make history.

Cotto better not just grab the Lineal Title and defend it against mediocre MW opposition.

GGG is a bigger version of Cotto, and we all know how well Cotto can handle pressure (not very well) I know I'm going with the bigger man in this fight. Cotto should stay far, far away from this fight. He'll definitely have the most respect of any fighter from this generation if he takes it though, it would mean he ducked absolutely NO ONE.

He's probably gonna do a Mayweather type of move. Win the title and never defend it. Floyd won the Jr. MW title almost a yr ago and has no plans on defending it. He's doing his second straight fight a weight class below. I see Miguelito doing the same ****. He's gonna fight at 154 next.

Not going to happen, unless GGG gives up massive amounts of money like Sergio was forced to. Cotto isn't the brightest bulb but Mount Golovkin isn't one he's going to climb unless it's ludicrously profitable.

He'll stay at 154 were there's plenty of good competition. There is NO reason to take on a legitimate middleweight when he isn't one himself.
At 5'7" 155ish Cotto gives away size 5' 10 1/2" 160 and more importantly power!
Cotto's style is made for GGG, he sits back and Cotto comes to him laterally or straight up either way he comes to get stopped.
There's Canelo and even Bradley will jump to 154 for the money fight.
Canelo will be the best name to use, if he gets by Lara!
