Maidana's gloves were illegal. He won't be allowed to use those gloves.

The blues ones werent, even the everlast rep said that they are the same as the red MX gloves, just that the colour is different.

The red MX gloves were approved by the commission.

If I'm Maidana, I hold Mayweather's feet to the fire. If he doesn't let me wear my gloves, then he can go find a last minute opponent somewhere else or he can can miss out on making $40 million and wait until May 2015.

Maidana has no chance of winning a decision against Mayweather in Vegas, the last fight proved it. Maidana landed 220 punches of hard shots against 230 of pitty pat shots, and we saw ridiculous scores like 9 rounds to 3 and 8 rounds to 4.

Maidana needs a KO and the best chance he has of doing that is by wearing actual boxing gloves and not pillows.

I'll be really disappointed in Maidana like I'm sure many others will be if he agrees to fight with those XP pillows. I'll definitely stream the fight then.

Your Post makes no sense. Floyd can fight anyone he wants , his purse is guaranteed. Maidana ,on the other hand won't make nearly as much $$$ fighting anyone else.

If I was Maidana, I wouldn't take too long to sign that contract. Thurman is still available, and Cotto's team said the door is open for Floyd. I know Floyd doesn't want to change dates, but if he did, he could make more money with Khan or Cotto. At the same time, if Floyd gives Maidana his choice of gloves, it will add more drama to the promotion. More people will feel that the gloves will give Maidana super powers, and a better chance to win, which equals more PPVs.
