He's consistent with his immaturity. How is he going to convince showtime out of the mayweather fight contract. Either his advisors in mexico are *******s or oscar still has'nt learned

Mayweathers surprise might be to fight cotto for the middleweight title at a catchweight of 155. No great legend in the past would have pull a move like that.

How did Canelo's actual quote get turned into "I Want May 2, September 12!"

With an exclamation mark and everything. Every time I see them use an exclamation mark in the headline when conveniently paraphrasing something a boxer said into an compelling headline, I think to myself "they didn't actually raise their voice."

These are people's reputations we're talking about. They shouldn't morally care more about making headlines that get clicks over truth.
Is easy to see why, don't you see all the responses attacking Canelo & Mayweather.... Boxing scene knows it only takes to write an out of context word for all the haters, fl0wmos, *******s, and gingerells , Laraturds (only seven of them)... to light up and have this meaningless tread.

Canelo is the future but he's gonna have to wait for those dates. MGM and SHowtime are not going to give those dates up to a fighter whose tickets will be priced 1/3rd of what they are for a floyd fight and will sell 50-60% fewer ppv's.

Unless the guy ODH is sitting on in the picture is the head of MGM.

Really??? Maybe you're too young to know better:

It was one of the biggest and most controversial catch-weight world title fights in boxing history, and almost as soon as Sugar Ray Leonard-Donny Lalonde was announced fans wrote into top magazines such as KO and The Ring, complaining how Leonard had massively stacked the deck in his favour.

To refresh the memory of fight fans:

Leonard, at the time of November of 1988 already a three-weight world champion (welterweight, light-middleweight, middleweight), wanted more gold and to get it he persuaded Lalonde to defend his WBC light-heavyweight title against him at Caesars Palace. But there was a catch (pardon the pun!). Lalonde, a natural 175-pounder, had to drop down to the newly-created super-middleweight weight limit of 168-pounds because – in either a stroke of contractual genius or a stark example of gaining an unfair advantage – Leonard had seen to it that the newly-gilded WBC 168-pound strap would also be on the line.

i have a feeling canelo is overlooking lara.

i don't think he'll comfortably make 155lbs. as i said before, he most likely weights 174 1/2 lbs right now.

and now he is thinking about a floyd rematch.

                  this could be his downfall.
