Mark Farenas Jr. got ironed out by the hammer fist! Excellent performance by Farenas. He would give anyone at 130 a tough fight. I don't see it as an upset at all because even though Mark Davis was undefeated, the Filipino had fought by far the better opposition and proved to be a solid fighter.

By the way... Farenas never fought Ray Beltran.

And it's great that you think that. But according to the sportsbooks who installed Davis as a 2-1 favorite, the end result was considered an upset.

Davis just appeared to be over-matched. I don't think any adjustments would have made much of a difference.

No but he was fighting to align himself for a title shot, he should have at the very least attempted to adjust his gameplan. However you are right, he was outmatched and outclassed...but watching a featherfisted fighter attempt to out trade a slugger is hilarious.
