I think this is a fair question. I already have Hopkins above him based on level of opposition faced and this fight would just solidify it even further for me.

Anyone in their right minds should already have Hops above *****boy floyd and in all honesty, it should be a minimum of 10-15 places above him

He'd just be further ahead. If Hopkins became undisputed at 175 by beating Kovalev and Adonis then he'd be untouchable by Floyd.

Floyd should of fought Sergio for the middleweight title if he really wanted to be considered among the greatest. Sergio even said he'd come down to 154 a million times over the years. Floyds only shot to come close to Hopkins is beating GGG. Theirs just no other way.

I think he has beaten better opponents with no excuses or advantages..

His wins over Tito, tarver, pavlik, pascal, and kovolev would trump Floyd's best wins..

Throw in the fact that Hopkins is a record holder at mw, plus major title wins at 175 in his 40s, I think there is no doubt Hopkins has the better resume..

Floyd might be a better fighter h2h but Hopkins has a better resume

Pavlik has always been a huge Super Middle Weight.

He moved up 2lbs.

Hopkins is a LHW. He dropped 175lbs.

So, if anything, Pavlik had the advantage.

Besides. A few LBS are meaningless in the bigger picture - Hopkins is ancient. That alone tells a story.

I don't understand how anyone like yourself who was around when they were both fighting can have Hopkins ahead of Roy.

Roy is clear better and clearly greater by quite a margin.
