Pick'em fight it seems to me, very hard to predict. Whoever brings his A-game wins-- Hopkins by UD or Kovalev by KO.

More or less, but Hopkins should still be seen as the favorite.

This is one of them fights where I can only see two outcomes and I'm not happy about either.
Scenario 1 : kovalev does to Hopkins what he does to everyone else, brutally kos him and we have to see an ATG, at 50 stopped for the first time.
Or
Scenario 2 : Hopkins does to kovalev what he does to everyone else, mentally ruins him by shutting him down and we have a top light heavyweight, possible future opponent for stevenson, ward and everyone else ruined ala Kelly Pavlik

Despite this I can't pick which of the two is going to happen so I can't wait for fight night, this is the beauty of boxing.

He's saying the same stuff he said a year ago- the fight never happened- and he continues to get credit for allegedly accepting and wanting to fight Kovalev.

Don't tell me this -- I put a bet (on real money, with someone from this site) that B-Hop doesn't fight Kovalev until he retires.

Agree with the 1st part, no credit for Kovalev if he wins, Bhop finally got too old. Hopkins wins and he will get credit.

Is Kovalev athletic enough to box with Hopkins?

If not, he is going to have to let dem thangs go and fight at a fast pace. Not sure if he can do that effectively against Hopkins.

He has the ability and skill too, the key is to not get frustrated, to take a page out of Cottos book, otherwise B-Hop will school him if he gets the mental advantage, and propel B-Hop into immortality.

Kovalev looks slow though. I think gonna have to just go all-out. If the fight goes past the eighth round it's a wrap.

The Russian has to go in there and neuter Hopkins within four rounds because once Hopkins gets comfortable Kovalev will lose.

Another good gameplan is to try to hurt Hopkins. When's the last time we've seen Hopkins badly hurt?
