B Hop is the truth. Kovalev ran when he was the mandatory challenger. If B Hop would have pullef that mess Kovalev pulled, b hop would be everything in the book. According to Duva, they were working on a new deal before the stevenson deal fell through. So he was a free agent. Duva didnt reach out to bhop or nobody. She kept the stevenson story going. Lets see what she does now. Hop is a free agent so can do what he wants. Kovalev will come with an excuse like the lawsuit will take ine year and they have to focus on that. B hop will take kovablev into deep waters and drown him

Every mandatory for every fighter is percieved as a bum. most skip theirs because of that. At Hopkins age he doesnt have that luxury of doing so and risk getting stripped and having to fight (Stevenson or Kovalev, BOTH would be champions on HBO by the time Hopkins was stripped)for THEIR title or just going through with taking on the mandatory. Alright if HBO didnt have rights to Kovalev, it doesnt change the fact that Showtime didnt have any rights to Kovalev either.. its the same idea, and I think me and you had this dance on the very same topic months back and I wont entertain it again this time around, good day.

They didn't have rights to Murat either, so why did they approve him after rejecting Kovalev?

(**if it's because he didn't have a chance/less of a chance to beat Hopkins.... That's called a duck!**)

Is that even a serious question? It should be obvious

It's because Showtime and Schafer ducked Kovalev, no?

well i'm assuming they have the rights to murat and shumenov right now right? i mean thats their deal. hopkins opponent must sign a multi-fight deal in order to fight him(according to you). so i assume we will be seeing those guys a lot in the future on showtime. oh the possibilities with murat and shumenov! endless!

Dude Espinoza actually said "Kovalev is not a big enough name" as a reason why they didn't want it.... Keep in mind, they APPROVED Karo Murat right afterward!!

You're saying they didn't want Kovalev because if he wins they don't have his rights, right? First of all like I said he wasn't even with HBO at he time and second of all why didn't that matter with Karo murat? They didn't have his rights either.

Come on, don't lie to yourself..... Showtime and Schafer obviously didn't want the fight because there was a strong possibility he beat Hopkins.

What is that called in boxing? A duck. Am I missing something?
Thats your opinion, and the situation is subjective, because in a way they were right and the fight is much sweeter now than it would have been then.. Hopkins vs an unknown for a strap as opposed to a unification between TOP champions at 175, with 3 titles on the line. If you think it was a duck or whatever, thats fine but thats your opinion, but when people try to pass it off as facts thats when they look like @ssclowns, and im not insulting you personally, and me myself, I clearly stated I could be wrong about the whole thing.
