In a related sense, do you remember when, (after Cotto became free from TopRank,) and the idea of Mayweather-Cotto came up, and Bob Arum then said they (Team Mayweather) can never get him (Cotto?)

            'Nuff said.

Actually no... all that bs from mayweather about leaving top rank to get a fight was after 2009. Mayweather "retired" after the ricky hatton fight in the end of 07 and didnt unretire till after cotto lost to margarito. Why did mayweather "retire" if cotto was 31-0, just beat mosley a month before and him and mayweather was in the same weight division?

Really? so the 145 catchweight and the NO REHYDRATION clause didnt have cotto weight drained? Please bro. you are dreaming.

                    No need to make excuses.

Cotto is small at 154 (Trout proved it) let alone at 160.

He is getting old and approaching retirement.
Truth is GGG would murder him, and to be honest I don't want to see Cotto fight Golovkin , I don't think it'd be even funny.

As long as Cotto vacates I'm fine with Canelo or Floyd II , but if he wants to hold the MW title then he has to fight GGG or lose all credibility.

Canelo was soo quick to Duck Cotto that his excuse made no sense... " im not interested in fighting at middleweight" meanwhile your already fighting at that weight. Where they do that at?
