two great, great fights on paper.


the lopez fight is several years too late, buyt the styles will always lend themselves to fireworks in this case.

mikey will probably get caught, the way he does in lotsof his fights, and we'll have to see if gamboa can finish him. we also dn't know if gamboa's speed will be enough to win the rounds against mikey's high level technical stuff. i would be surprised if gamboa's speed troubled garcia enough to win, but speed does kill.

You dont know who'd win? I'm Puerto Rican and I'm telling you Gamboa mops the floor with him. Juanma shouldn't even be fighting anymore. Yes he has power but his chin is horrid and so is his balance and he's shot and already punch drunk. Other than some wild shot that kos gamboa juanma has very very very little chance. This would have been great 3 years ago when juanma was good not now.

all I know is it will be a good rugged scrap. Whoever lands first wins so yeah, even if it's a bit late for this fight I still want to see it. Before we get ahead of ourselves JuanMa needs to get past El Bandido. That one is going to be a good fight as well seeing as how Vargas throws punches in bunches and up until his last 3 fights, he was showing some serious power. If Bandido wins maybe Francisco Vargas vs Gamboa can be made.

Mickey has avoided Gamboa and I don't think will fight him next .
Juanma and Gamboa has both been koed and have nothing to lose so I think this fight will be easier to be made at this point of time .
If this fight gets made , someone goes down and someone's career will be over.
Arum didn't let juanma fight Gamboa , now I hope it gets made .
This fight would be a bar brawl , and someone gets tkoed badly .

He obliterates Juan Ma, Mikey is a 50/50 fight. Mikey's been dropped more times than I'd think for someone of his caliber / skills would. The way Gamboa looked against Crawford, I'm not as quick to pick Mikey as I was a couple months ago.

Gamboa is not going to beat any quality opponents until he learns to keep his hands up, bring his punches back faster, and stop throwing loopy shots. He gets dropped too often because he leaves himself exposed.

Gamboa destroys Juanma & get picked to pieces by Mikey. Leave that kid alone. He's too good at too many things....His temperament & demeanor are also too patient & composed. Mikey has power in both hands...he's defensively responsible & technically sound....AKA a nightmare. Leave that dude alone. Gamboa is too kool for school for a guy like garcia. It would be a repeat of the crawford fight minus him getting off for 4 & a half rds early. Bad idea altogether.

That's why Gamboa went up another 5 pounds to fight crawford, if he could hurt and bad a 153 pounder with better boxing skills than mikey, I don't see any reason why can't he do it to garcia... 50/50

No way TC. Is anywhere near as skilled as Mikey....not even close. Mikey ago*s all over gamboa...he's exciting & flashy & powerful. But way too reckless for a guy like Garcia. 80-20
