This fight gave me blue balls as a fight fan to be one hunnid like a C-note, every single time Maidana got close Floyd would try and hold immediately, and Bayless turned the cold shoulder every single time. How can you have a boxing match without inside fighting? It's ridiculous. It's one thing if it doesn't happen because you don't allow it within the rules as a fighter, but reaching out to hold is illegal to avoid punches. The few times Maidana closed the distance and didn't get wrapped up he got the better of Floyd and though he landed less, he hurt Floyd badly when he did. Floyd was sharper, more effective with the jab, and landed better combinations but if you take away the ring generalship Maidana outboxed him. And to be frank, with a ref like lawrence cole, we see a completely different fight, A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ONE. Yes, Madiana tried to pace himself, if he was allowed fight inside after round 4 this fight could have been a war til the end.

This is something like the only good post fight analysis I've read or seen anywhere. Nobody in the media(nonboxing fans) has made a single good point. Floyd broke the rules. I thought he broke the rules here as badly as Wladimir did recently and Devon did against Marcos. It's bullsh**. But, it can happen because mostly people aren't passionate about boxing(except for fans here on NSB). The media is almost entirely ****** about the sport now. Floyd should be allowed to make millions and be called TBE. But if he breaks the rules he should be docked a point. Then the fight dynamic would change. What they did, I guess, was called the first fight 'Maidana's fight' and then this one was 'Floyd's' fight. So dumb. LOL like I said two days before the fight Floyd would erase the delusion of the 1st fight which he did. Chino didn't force nothing in the 1st fight Floyd chose to do that. When Floyd let him do it in the 4th was the only time he had success. If Chino could really cut off the ring it doesn't matter what size the ring is. He lost with Weeks as the ref Bayless as the ref they can go get Robert Englund to play Freddy as the ref and he will lose again. But hey you will always have the memory of the end of 3rd round to hold on to for the next 6 years saying Chino almost KO'd Floyd.
