Rounds 11 and 12. Even round 6 and 7 were accentuated by a strong Maidana jab and uppercut to the gut, respectively. You can pretend Mayweather wasn't hit all you want, doesn't make it the slightest bit true.

Maidana will improve because he learns from his losses. Point blank. Against Devon he laid in the clinch, and every fight thereafter he has been a bull there.

Yes the plan was to smother and maul Floyd, and should still be, but he should also throw in volume in other areas besides on the ropes. Combinations are the way to go if you are fighting a guy like Floyd, because you can use them to set up the more powerful significant shots, and odds go up of landing on an elusive target by throwing combinations. Also you are more likely to just make Floyd shell up and lower his output. Win, win. Maidana did not throw all that much in combination in the center of the ring, he landed one shot at a time. A jab, an overhand right, an uppercut, ect. He needs to put them together.. Like say a lunging right uppercut to the body similar to the one he landed followed by a left hook, right hand.. Then left uppercut or jab. He IS capable of doing this. Observe how he took Broner out in the second knockdown of their fight.. A left, right to the body, left combo.

I am not fantasizing. Maidana has proven he is a worthy competitor and surprised many people.... I was one of the voices of reason throughout the whole buildup to the first fight while plebes like you were predicting a 120-108 fight. Now y'all just content yourselves with damage control, trying to minimalize Maidana's first performance and overall quality as a fighter in every way you can fathom with your limited intellects.
How many CLEAN right hands (Chino's "money" punch) did Maidana land? Btw, punches to the back of the head, or the kidneys aren't scoring blows, last time I checked. You can delude yourself into thinking Maidana had "success" in the 2nd half of the fight all you want. Floyd landed the VAST majority of the clean shots, beating Chino whether he was on the ropes or in the middle of the ring.

You stated that Maidana can do something to MAYWEATHER just because he could do it to Broner. Keep that ******ed "logic" to yourself, son. "Combinations are the way to fight Floyd". Holy ****, why didn't all of his other opponents think of such a strategy. :P Then again, you also think that Maidana can outbox Floyd in the center of the ring. LOL.

And I knew Maidana would be a tougher fight than Canelo but thanks for assuming I thought it would be a whitewash. Maidana gave Floyd a great fight...... for 6 rounds. Floyd adjusted, Maidana didn't. That's why Floyd will win the rematch more decisively. This imaginary Chino who can throw 100 punches a round with more power, and can outbox Floyd by simply "throwing combinations" doesn't exist. Maidana faded in the second half of the fight BECAUSE he was throwing so much in the first half (and Floyd's bodywork).

Maidana did his best the first time around. He's shown ZERO ability to make adjustments during a fight. Garcia had a great gameplan, but Chino couldn't keep it up for the whole fight. Floyd is going to exploit Maidana's defense, no matter what he does.

The DLH fight springs to mind. As you can see from this thread, some people are very easily swayed by throwing and missing. Cotto landed some nice bodyshots and jabs when Floyd was against the ropes, to be fair. But evidently that was enough for people to cry "robbery" as well.

If the judges score fight #2 the same way, Maidana will have little chance unless he KOs Floyd or knocks him down 3-4 times!

Those cards are pretty bad. I saw the fight only once admittedly live in HD at the theater and I was amazed at Maidana's performance maybe in part because I was expecting floyd to 12 0 him. Going into the 12th round I thought Floyd needed to win the round to win the fight and I thought Maidana won the 12th. I'm OK with 6-6 or 7-5 either way. Glad to see the rematch.

I almost give folks a pass for the DLH fight. There were a lotta casual fans watching that one. As for Floyd against Cotto and Chino. Its just people wanting to see Floyd beaten so badly that they see what they wanna see.

Hopefully this time we get a ref who isnt going to stand for floyd's constant elbows, forearm smashes and ceaseless offering the back of his head and then complaining when he gets hit there.

You post some bull**** about Brother Nasim objecting to the gloves Ginger wore when he fought the shell of Mosley. Which has absolutely nothing to do with Cotto objecting to glove size in the Floyd fight. Not to mention, FLOYD WORE 10OZ GRANTS FOR THE COTTO FIGHT MORON!!!!!!!!!
Really? "which has absolutely nothing to do with cotto objecting to glove size in the floyd fight.".... Really?... Really?.... Wow you ARE dumb! What I showed you was the reason behind cottos adviser objecting to the gloves, because of nasim richardson was objecting those same gloves worn by a different fighter. Go back and read... if you can though. Seems like you need to go back to 8th grade and learn some grammar.

Showtime commentators said that those 2 judges were not watching the right fight and thought, like myself, that the judge that had it 114-114 had the best score of the 3 judges. If you check his scores, he had Maidana winning 4 of first 5 rounds.

The reason you think what you think is that you are a bias Floyd fan. So you need to remove those bias blinders next time ...... Imagine, Maidana could have repeated what he did in those early rounds yet your bias scoring would still have him either with a draw or losing ..... lol!
