If Floyd doesn't let's Maidana wear actual puncher's gloves and not those pillows again, and unless he boosts up that $1.5 mil, I would tell Floyd to go fly a kite and get lost...

Maidana won the first fight (don't care what the biased American media and Vegas judges say - and even they admit that it was pretty much a moral victory for Maidana). Floyd struggling with an opponent that Manny would beat easily (besides the one exception Marquez) has been a pretty common theme...and if Maidana can fight Manny or someone else for the same or more money..no need to chase a fight with this whiny crybaby who needs every demand in his favor to take a fight..

I never miss a Floyd fight but this is a bit underwhelming to say the least, Maidana didn't do enough outside of fighting dirty like no one else to warrant a rematch imo. We have seen nothing to make us think anything other than another decision win for Floyd. You have 3 fights left and you give Maidana a rematch? Beating Maidana the 1st time didn't do much for his legacy what will beating him again prove???

It will prove he wasn't lying when he proclaimed, "Legacy don't pay bills"...and it proves that he's "the smartest" (as he told his brothers & sisters in the Motherland press conference that he would rather be called, rather than "the greatest") boxer ever, cunningly smart enough to be able to con the fans into parting with their money, fooling the fans into thinking he's facing a major threat, while easily maintaining his 0 coasting into retirement.

Conversely, a guy getting 20+ million for fighting a 6-1 underdog... that says a lot about the state of pro boxing.

Showtime, use some of that budget to host quality match ups please, not the drivel upcoming in August. Plenty of good fighters, plenty of good fights to be made. Be smart.

Wow really... What I posted was about the gloves... After you had mentioned that cotto made mayweather wear different gloves. I posted the reason for it and you said that you dont give a f**k. Either way. Go back and read it again.

Man you ****** as f.uck. My original post pointed to the fact that Cotto objected to he and Floyd wearing 8oz gloves opposed to the regulated 10oz gloves that a jr middleweight fight calls for. You post some bull**** about Brother Nasim objecting to the gloves Ginger wore when he fought the shell of Mosley. Which has absolutely nothing to do with Cotto objecting to glove size in the Floyd fight. Not to mention, FLOYD WORE 10OZ GRANTS FOR THE COTTO FIGHT MORON!!!!!!!!!

This fight is gonna bomb worst than the first one, just because Maidana mopped floyd as a 18-1underdog and got robbed doesnt mean this is worth 70 bucks. If Maidana got the decision than yes but since he didn't than the boycott continues

Some people are not use to seeing Mayweather struggle and that's the only reason why they think Maidana beat him. They need to open their eyes and see that all Maidana managed to do was delay the inevitable. They should just be glad with that and so should Maidana, instead of being delusional.

Maidana shouldn't have taken this rematch. It's just going to be even less competitive and make the first one seem like it never even happened (though it still wouldn't be as easy as people expect). This will also, unfortunately, give Floyd and his fans a good excuse to claim "he was giving the fans what they wanted", taking all of the credit away from Maidana.
