  • Kubrat Pulev wants Klitschko to undergo more stringent drug testing

“I am tested for the use of illicit substances at least six times a year. It’s unfair if Klitschko won’t pass the same tests that I do,” ********* quoted Pulev as saying. “If you don’t take the test, you’re not a correct person.”

Responded Klitschko, according to the website: “If you don’t want to fight, you can stay at home.”

Boxing Scene edits out the name of that particular website. But if you click on the link you can see it.

Anyway, what specific test(s) does Pulev want Vlad to take? Has there been anything official about testing yet? This seems vague.

This is all just a ruse to sell the fight.Pulev is not universally recognised just yet, after he makes a gallant but failed attempt at the world titles he will still have a good reputation in Germany and he will be better known as Manuel Charr was.

this fight will gain him a lot of exposure for his future.it is his chance to put himself in the shop window.I see a fruitful career after his date with Wladimir.lets just hope this doesn't get too dirty in the build up.

I do believe they should only have to adhere to the same testing as each other,it seems a little unfair Pulev has to go throw countless more tests taken than the champion.though I don't know the full details.

Wlad should just take the test. I'm frankly surprised if he isn't on some sort of testing scheme. I thought all top athletes in Germany was tested to some extent actually.

              Spot on, man.

I'm sure there will be an appropriate level of testing. There were similar objections before the Povetkin bout, and they were ironed out.

Good response by wlad. I read that wlad undergoes testing anyways. Fighters like pulev should make sure what they want is in the contract. Now that it's been signed he is doing an Edwin rod vs ward and playing mind games .

Anyways, wlad via ko after a few rounds of hugging.

This is just Sauerland being the bitter little people they are. In order to get a TV contract with ARD they had to sign a contract saying all their fighters would be tested 6 times a year. Pulev has to do it anyway and Sauerland did the same thing when Povetkin was supposed to fight Klitschko in 2011 and after he agreed they pulled out of the fight. Just trying to smear a champion none of their fighters can beat.
