You cannot mention quality and tHEN mention Liston! Who had among the WORST quality of opposition!
Cleveland Williams was better than anybody WK or VK fought except for LL. Now I grant you the 50s wasn't the deepest era either. And I would rate Zora Folley higher than most anyone else VK or WK fought. (Too late and too tired to check boxrec)

No, but he wasn't prime, that's a fact. Consider his prime from Steward onwards (his debut under Steward was the Brewster loss). Since then, Vlad hasn't lost as we know.

So he wasn't because you say he wasn't. He had over 40 fights and was a belt holder, but he wasn't in his prime. So is that the excuse of the day?

Povetkin. And his upcoming opponent is the classy elite fighter Kubrat Pulev, a decorated amateur who is currently 20-0 as a pro.

No he wasn't prime because he wasn't. The Vlad we see today (still prime) is the product of his collaboration with Emanuel Steward, which ensued a decade ago. Vlad isn't the same fighter who lost to Brewster. Steward helped him develop his arsenal and the fighting style that has made him undefeated for ten years. Vlad has the finest jab and straight right in heavyweight history, and he is the hardest puncher since Foreman.

Honestly bro, I don't even count that as a win for Wlad. It's one thing for the fight to be boring but the constant clinching by Klitschko was ridiculous. I can't give him too much credit for that win.
