Someone who he would actually listen to, he needs a guy that can dial back his reckless instinct.

I don't think there's anything to learn from a skill stand point, he is tremendous and athletically unreal. I think Mayweather Sr may be able to get him to stay doing what is working, he is defensive minded.

Probably Freddie Roach, Gamboa tried to box like a long arm fighter against a long arm tall fighter and that was his downfall, Gamboa isn't like the other Cuban boxers, he is a aggressive fighter, he should get with someone like Roach who will utilize his offense and apply the in and out movement to get his combos in and side step out and follow with combos, the style Roach developed with Pacquiao and a prime Amir Khan.

Gamboa had the advantage in this fight, a shorter fighter is much more difficult to fight, Gamboa problem is he stands straight up he has his chin out and hands down, he actually hurt Crawford bad in the fight but was too tired and dazed to finish him or drop him.

Gamboa flaw is a major one that he fights with a straight up stance with his chin out to be hit as he backs up in a straight line with his hands down.

He has good reflexes and punching ability but his major flaw is a bad one which gets him dropped alot he always leaves his chin up, I think Gamboa develop this because he was ashamed of being short so he made a habit of standing as tall as possible to try and look taller, problem is it carried over into his boxing.

Yeah Gamboas biggest problem is that he got no defense in combination with an shaky chin so let him get Freddie Roach as a trainer, great idea...

I actually think his defence is fine, it's his reckless offense that causes problems.

When he's boxing, he rarely gets caught. It's when he gets overly aggressive and throws those flurries with his hands down that he gets caught. He loses all sight of protecting himself when he goes in with the combos and against bigger guys it is a problem.

Gamboa is 32 years old -- he can't change much at this age... (The guy doesn't have a proper head movement.)

Pedro Diaz - They've worked alongside each other before and there will be no language barrier. He knows his strengths and weaknesses and all the other trainers only tend to focus on one thing. Diaz teaches offense and defense and makes subtle changes based on their styles.

He is the best and most complete trainer in the sport, bar none.

Too bad Pedro has abandon boxing, he is focusing mostly on MMA fighters now, he is Vitor Belfort;s main boxing coach.

Pedro said he enjoys training MMA fighters more because there is no ego and they are eager to learn.
