This idiot. Haymon protects his fighters. Floyd chooses his opponents not haymon. Broner was protected too he didnt fight anyone til demarco. Ponce de leon gave him all he can handle so thought ponce won that fight. He moved up to 147 and fought the light punching malignaggi to win a belt. Where is all this talk about Haymon fighters being "protected" coming from? Was Floyd "protected" when he chose to fight Cotto @ 154? Was Floyd "protected" when he fought Canelo, or chose to fight Maidana over Khan? How about Broner? Was Broner "protected" from Maidana @ 147? Was Devon Alexander "protected" from Shawn Porter? Fighters choose Haymon to get them good fights, and good money. He has to be doing something good for the fighters or they wouldn't be seeking him, especially when they've already established a name for themselves.

I dunno in general, but those are not great examples you bring up. for example Maidana was not top 10 for Broner, and in his only test at welter he got shut out by Alexander. Devon was not much of a prize to protect vs Porter, but then again Porter wasn't looking that great leading up to it, see Diaz or Gomez. Cotto didn't have a quality win at 154 and just one fight prior requested a 150 CW and 160 rehydration limit vs a one eyed noncontender.

I find it childish, sad, and closed-minded that you have to resort to using ****phobic epithets to describe people who you likely don't even know because you happen to have a difference of opinion.

I don't have the slightest idea of what signing to Haymon will mean for him, but if Miguel Vasquez feels that Haymon can take him to the next level financially more power to him. Unless you have personal insights into what Haymon has done in his career or documented proof you are just speculating. The same goes for HBO and Arum.

I understand haters are going to hate, but hating behind a keyboard is really sad. I am of the mindset that you shouldn't say or write anything that you cannot own up to or back up and I am having a hard time believing you could do either.

Bottomline is that unless you have something informative, substantial, or a valid opinion keep it moving. Nobody cares for or wants to see hateful rants or misinformed opinions. It drives people from the forum.

Maidana won 3 fights at welterweight before Broner. Everyone knew he was a beast except Broner. If Haymon was "protecting" Broner, he wouldn't have matched him with Maidana. Fighting Cotto at 154, and Canelo at 152, was taking a risk for a WW, if you don't think so, look at the fighters who won't do it right now.
