Gamboa just completely falls apart, he's not mentally strong fighter.

Garcia is the definition of a mentally strong fighter. He would just stay the course and almost let Gamboa beat himself...because he will.

55/45 in favor of Gamboa.. Mikey already lost the mental war by refusuing to fight him

weird, because I have NEVER seen a fighter have a broken nose and the corner and fighter himself BEG to have the fight stopped.

Exactly. Mikey can clear his head and get back on track. High ring IQ and ability to adapt. Gamboa can't change gears or think his way through a problem.

You haven't seen it with Mikey either. Cowardly, revisionist history bs. Whatever makes you feel better I guess.

Mikey quit on his stool. Tell me another time a fighter has a broken nose and they beg the ref to stop the fight.

No one said anything about big balls and heart in this thread. I'm saying not everyone at 135 is Terence Crawford. Most guys don't make those adjustments, and most guys can't take those bombs.

And like someone else said, he's not making 126, and 130 would be pushing it as well.

Robert Garcia stopped the fight or had the doctor see the nose to stop the fight.

I'm not too sure, he was pretty shaken up in the later portion of the Salido bout.

Mikey was running out of steam in the 8th round and him and his corner knew it.
