the gamboa tonight, who got dropped 5 times would've beaten a lot of guys at 135? lolComment

He probably could beat a lot of them but that's more an indictment on the Lightweight division than anything.
Gamboa looked like a child in there compared to Crawford. He's bulked up far too much. It's only his immense talent that allowed him to be winning the fight and his recklessness that lost him it.Comment

So nothing to do with Crawford's talent, or ability to adjust and time him???He probably could beat a lot of them but that's more an indictment on the Lightweight division than anything.

The first time I saw Crawford, I saw things that made me a believer. He's on my squad and I assume he will eventually be on the list of fav boxers for many people. It may take some time but he is the goods and has many, many aspects of his game that makes him elite.Comment

Crawford took advantage of the openings well but come on, what adjustment? Gamboa was winning the fight handily and then got knocked down because he flew in with his chin straight in the air wailing punches like he always does.
I didn't expect Crawford to show that kind of power but the weight "differential" probably helped.Comment

He switched southpaw so he could have his power hand up front and counter Gamboa's jab over the top with the right hook that scored him his first knockdown and was landing at will throughout the rest of the fight.Crawford took advantage of the openings well but come on, what adjustment? When did he switch southpaw? Wasn't it after the first round? He then lost the next couple of rounds easily. The fight turned after the first knockdown which is when Yuriorkis went "Full Gamboa" for the first time.Comment
