Soto Karass is a step too far for him right now in my opinion, I think Karass would get to him in the later rounds and possibly grind out a stoppage.

he's athletic enough, but his style doesn't do it for me.
he's on offense or defense. he doesn't counter, throw feints to elicit predictable offense.
at the highest levels, he's just going to look like a worker in there. his defense is very strange. it won't allow him to counter, making him a rather one dimensional fighter.
he's going ot have to show me something, or overhaul his style, to be able to hang with a durable vet like soto karass.
karass will figure spence out. i don't know if he beats him, given his lack of talent and speed, but he'll suppluy a blueprint for somebody down the line.

But still I like Spence he has nice technique, he's still young and will improve allot.

Who do you think wins this fight, DLT?
I kinda figured he was still going to be talking about Spence but he started talking about Soto.
I didnt get to see the fight last night so its hard for me to judge. Im a big Spence fan and get pics with him everytime Im in Vegas so Im partial. I also think being a Southpaw is a super huge advantage in sports, none more than boxing. However, IDK if he's ready to make a jump that big.
At the same time, I think you only have so many wars in you and sooner or later I think Soto is going to have a huge dropoff and start to be a lil washed up. If it happens now, I think it could look similar to Dirrell vs Abraham with the kid holding on late. In a couple of more fights it looks like Floyd vs Genaro Hernandez

Spence loves to mix it up and fire back when he gets hit. This would be one hell of a fight, i think Spence's straight shots would get there before Karass's looping ones in an exchange. It would probably end up being a war.

so he's going to be a more effective counterpuncher and craftier fighter when he gets in there with more experienced guys?
i dont' think so.

for the record, i voted karass.
on his best night, which i still think he can produce, i think he wins.
it's a huge, huge step up. spence hadn't even been five rounds before last night.
especially in a 12 round fight, i'm taking karass.
