Is it a Good or BAD thing that Floyd HAS NEVER BEEN KNOCKED DOWN Before???

I say its a bad thing if we are to believe floyd has never touched the canvas before (judah fight wasnt really a knockdown). If he gets knocked down and badly hurt this late in his career, i think he will have a lot of trouble recovering from a really bad knock down due to the fact that he never experienced it before.

He's been hurt and stunned before and he showed a great chin vs Mosley when he almost got KTFO but its still not the same as getting put on your ass with a good shot. Take someone like a marquez who has a lot of experience dealing with being cut and knocked down, he actually fights better after getting bloodied and knocked down. They say experience is the best teacher.

We all saw how floyd reacted when he got cut, how will floyd handle being severely hurt and knocked down if he has never experienced it before? I think its a recipe for disaster especially for boxers who are past prime and getting up there in age like floyd. If their bodies never experienced it before during their prime and basically their entire career, and they get caught with a great shot late in their career, it would be very hard to recover from.

It would shock their system and the body would just shut down and take forever to recover. Kinda like what happened to roy. Id be very surprised if floyd took the rematch vs maidana. We could have a antonio tarver ko in the rematch type situation on our hands.

he went down because his hand hurt vs hernandez

and no, it wont be a shock to the system, absolutely not.

mayweather responds well to adversity in the ring.

that's what im saying, he has never really gotten hurt. whenever floyd gets hurt its always with his hands. so he has the experience to fight through it. kinda like donaire who always seems to break his hands in fights but fights through it.

getting knocked down where your equilibrium is all messed up is another thing.

it happened vs shane and he recovered well enough but that was due to shane being so old and blowing his load (late 30s and 1 year and a half inactive coming to that fight) not being able to capitalize on it.

i absolutely think it will be a shock to the system.

Its hard to knock down fighters like Floyd who don't commit to attack. Its the punches you don't see that put you down. Because Floyd is always just either standing there letting your hands go trying to ko him and he just tries avoiding being hit, but can see the punches that get through when you land on him once in a while. Or he is running.

Its not a testament to how good he is. Its a testament to how specialized he is.

Floyd been hit with a shot he didn't see against Shane, his feet was literally gone but somehow his mental will brought him back. It reminds me of that time Bradley went to war with Prod and was literally gone but his will was still there. If Floyd chin gets cracked his will take over and he's gets more dangerous. Shane head was getting snapped back so much after that, I thought he was going to go but like all Mays opponents they stop throwing and try to get dirty when they feel his shots (Shane clinched him and try to throw him out the ring). Also look at the Corley fight..

had nothing to do with shane blowing his load.. Floyd recovered amazingly from a brutal shot that would have floored and finished many.. Floyd had Shane backing off after the kd in the same round.. nothing to do with gassing

Floyd didn't look so hot when he got cut and looked sorry for himself like he wanted a way out for a bit but if he gets knocked down I'm sure he'll just recover like always.. its sometimes hard enough for fighters to finish less defensive fighters than Floyd...

              Look at Maidana-Khan for instance

It is absolutely a testament to how good he is. If other fighters could do it, they would. stop talking **** out of your ass because you don't like his style.

He's been out on his feet vs Corley and Mosley. He must have good balance. Those are equivalent to a flask KD.

Anyway, it's a boring thing that he's never been knocked down.
