    What is up with that?
Not a clue. These 2 dudes keep making fun of Cubans and calling Lara a bum etc

I never really liked Canelo but I'm not about to call him a bum or make fun of Mexicans. Canelotards are bad.

I so agree, and it will be a lot of power and speed from Canelo's fast hands that will catch Lara by surprise.

Boxrec is a reliable source. Like I said he's pretty much Mayweather's height who is around 5'7 or 5'8 take your pick.

I suggest you know the topic at hand before you try to discuss it. The hype-kid has been a pro since 15 so obviously they matched him up frequently to make up for the fact he had no amateur experience. He's 23 years old, let me repeat that 23 years old without a career defining win. Read that line a couple of times and think about it for a second before trying to downplay the kid.

Most good fighters go a career without having a career defining win. Marquez was in his late 30's before he got his against Pacquiao. Cotto was in his 30's before he beat Margarito or Martinez as far as defining wins. De la Hoya was 30 when he beat Vargas and the list goes on and on. Most guys at his age are fighting bums or guys who bring nothing to the table so if you want to compare his career to this point with elite fighters go right ahead I guarantee there's very few who match up with this hype job including Cotto who was fighting tomato cans at his age.

            On the same token.

Since you utlized Cotto as an example, Cotto has 43 fights (39-4), and look at his resume.

Floyd, has 46 fights, look at his resume.

You understand where I'm going with this? How many more developing fights he needs? I do give him credit for facing Floyd and it showed that fighting quality competition is what it makes you really, really good. So, like I said, I give him credit for Floyd and partial credit for fighting Lara since its ABOVE the 54 max and little credit for Trout which was very controversial. No credit for Angulo who we know it was #1 ABOVE the 54 max allowed and we all know is not the quality fighter that Canelo should be facing.

Im glad he is stepping up his game, and I cant wait to see him fight Cotto. It will be epic!

Floyd and Cotto can't possibly be compared to Canelo both of those guys had great amateur experience. Canelo's experience was his pro fights which is basically why he's had such a high number of fights for his age. If that's not self-explanatory I don't know what to say. Your comparing two guys who for the most part have already finished their careers to a fighter who's only now starting to build his legacy. Give him ten years and come talk to me about defining career wins.

It's really extraordinary the high expectations a guy like Canelo has when fights against Angulo deserve no credit. Can you imagine another 23 year old only expected to face the very best otherwise he deserves no credit? Not bad for a hype job.

I wouldn't discredit him in the least bit for fighting a lb. above the weight limit. That is unless you want to stay objective, and do the same to all other fighters who take part in 1 lb. cw's, and I think you understand where I'm going with this. You talk about being unbiased give it a shot.

lol. Handycap killer? At least Cotto has the ballz to fight them all. When is Canelo going to do so? at 88, 105 fights?

                  STFU.
