What was said? In recent interviews both Mares and Jhonny arent going at each others throats. In fact, when they asked Jhonny if h was being ducked by Mares he rejected the thought. He said he was waiting for Mares to return to himself after suffering such heavy loss. He also said he was willing to face him once before, he is sure once Marez is back to feeling 100 and regains full confidence, he will be there for him. Mares has also said he wants a comeback fight and then go after his rematch. They seem to have mutual respect for eachother.

I guess he is still butthurt over being sparked in one round lol.

I'm sure he will try and fight Jhonny one more time If he has the balls to, I doubt he'd talk that smack without having a rematch in mind.

That was uncalled for if true. Jhonny is a vetran and humble champion that deserves respect. Well if that was said then i wonder why Jhonny didnt mention it in his latest interviews, unless i missed something. Regardless i am glad Mares is back and hopefully he wins in order for him to jump back in the mix of action. The featherweight division is looking stronger and stronger.

Mares is a very good fighter. And there's nothing wrong with adding something else to your fight game. Great move in bringing on hunter to help.
