Everytime I see those cuts that Vitali suffered in his fight with Lennox Lewis, it reminds me of how great a champion Vitali really is and that his heart is immeasurable. How he's so tough that having his face beat to a pulp still isn't enough to put him down. It also reminds me of how he won over the fans from that fight and how they cheered him on, favoring the Ukranian over the Brit.

Vitali did control the fight early on but Lewis was showing championship qualities in the 6th (the uppercut was amazing!) Dont think a ko was on the cards but I think it Lewis would have edged it (only my opinion). I think both showed what good chins they have and that was obviously the best hw fight this millenium.

Just a shame Lewis was past his peak and he didn't have much preperation (I think it was decided about 2 weeks before the fight after Kirk pulled out!)

Lewis did not own Ray Mercer. The fight could have gone either way but I called it a draw.
