You're trying to say that this is a good fight because Algieri upset Provodnikov and there have been other big upsets in the past, anyone has a chance in boxing, it only takes one punch etc.
But you can say that to justify any fight. Sometimes it's true that anyone has a chance, but if you're outside the top 50 and fighting the best then that chance is incredibly low. Sometimes it's true that it only takes one punch, but Danny Garcia isn't going to get knocked out from a single shot from a guy with a 13% KO record.
For every upset like Buster Douglas beating Tyson, there are hundreds of fights where the huge favourite dominated and knocked out the underdog.

Wait it looks like Danny's trading one tomato can for another
Danny Garcia opponent update
Update: looks like the WBC has signed off on Rod Salka as Danny Garcia’s opponent as they are now listing it on their web page.
Yesterday Golden Boy Promotions and Showtime announced that WBC/WBA super lightweight champion Danny “Swift” Garcia was facing “Lightning” Rod Salka (19-3, 3 KOs) topping a world championship tripleheader on August 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. However, on their website today, the WBC announced that Garcia would be facing Gabriel Bracero (23-1, 4 KOs) on August 9.
Barcero is rated #13 by the WBC and not rated by the WBA.
Salka is not currently rated by either the WBC or WBA. He has been a lightweight most of his career and is currently the WBC FECARBOX lightweight titleholder.
The WBC also dispelled rumors that Garcia was facing IBF champion Lamont Peterson on that date. Yesterday Golden Boy and Showtime announced that Peterson (32-2-1, 16 KOs) will be facing Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana (29-4, 20 KOs) on the same card.
